Modern Apprenticeships (MAs) offer new entrants to the labour market the chance of paid employment combined with the opportunity to do training relevant to the occupational area. They include the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications that help kick-start a career without having to study full-time. New entrants can include school and college leavers, those with no previous work experience and/or vocational qualifications. You will be required to assist in the provision of a range of support services related to Health and Social Care whilst working towards your SVQ in Hospitality Services at Level 3. You will be fully trained and supervised in providing a nutritionally balanced meal service for clients to a satisfactorily standard, incorporating choice and special dietary requirements where applicable. This will be carried out within the legislative requirements of the 1990 Food Safety Act and related health and safety and food hygiene regulations, and within Council codes of practice, procedures and policies. You will be required to sit and pass an approved recognised test relevant to your chosen apprenticeship. Interviews for this post will take place on 23rd February 2012. This posts is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
