Childcare Apprenticeship Programme
at Carousel Training in Edinburgh & Glasgow
Modern Apprenticeships in child care offer young people the opportunity to be employed full time in a nursery while undertaking a Scottish Vocational Qualification level III in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (CCLD). No experience is necessary, as full training will be given by both nursery and Carousel Training Centre.
If you are not already employed by a nursery then we have a marketing team who can assist you in sourcing employment in order for you to start your training. As an apprentice you will be expected to work as part of a team to provide a programme of activities for children as young as babies to 5 years old.
In order to be accepted on to the Modern Apprenticeship programme you must meet the minimum requirements shown below: You are 16 - 19 years of age. You must have, or expect to gain, 3 Standard Grades at bands 1-3 (one of which must include English) or equivalent Intermediate grades.
