About the Apprenticeship
This is an excellent opportunity to learn IT technical or design skills whilst earning some money and going through an IT Professional Modern Apprenticeship. There is initially 10-12 weeks training in Stirling followed by a job placement/position, some of which will be in Screentown itself, others elsewhere. Our aim is to get you into a full time position, and your attitude and ability to develop your skills will help us place you effectively.
You will be working towards an IT apprenticeship in one of the following roles:
- Digital Design Trainee - you will learn how to design, create and schedule attractive digital media content to public screens, using Flash and other design tools. Your apprenticeship will include Adobe training.
- Network Technican / IT Support Trainee - you will learn about hardware and networks and will learn how to install and support our system. Your apprenticeship will include Microsoft technical certifications
About You!
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to begin their career in IT:
(for Digital Design) You need to have a flair for art or design and also show us evidence of that through some kind of art or craft or design work which you have done. You will also need to show us that you already have a keen interest in IT.
(for Network Technician / IT support) You need to have some knowledge of PCs or audio visual equipment or networks. You will enjoy keeping up with technology and are maybe the kind of person who likes to build or fix PCs, or has a network in their bedroom!
Minimum Entry Requirements
- At least 5 Standard Grades (3 and above)
- A passion and desire to learn about IT
- Enthusiasm, a ‘can do’ attitude and the willingness to learn
